Mindful Motivation Study
Rachel Radin, PhD
Join the UCSF Mindful Motivation Study to learn mindfulness skills and improve your eating behaviors!
The Mindful Motivation Study is being conducted by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco. Our goal is to determine whether a new program called Mindful Motivation (which combines mindfulness practices and motivational interviewing tenets) can help adults improve eating behaviors. We are interested in learning if participants can easily and effectively participate in this program.
Participants will be asked to meet with research staff twice at the UCSF Mission Bay campus, complete two 5-minute surveys daily for 20 days, and meditate for 10 minutes daily using Headspace (free 1-year subscription provided). You may also have a chance to meet with a licensed professional to develop goals around eating behavior and weekly audio exercises.
We are recruiting adults (18 and older) with a BMI of at least 25 who experience at least 1 binge-eating episode a month and have access to a smartphone or computer. If you are interested in participating, please fill out our online screener!
Participants can earn up to $125 in Amazon gift cards and a free 1-year subscription to Headspace, a meditation app, for participating!
